Yes. In order to be able to track the traffic of your website, you will require the installation of Google Analytics on your website. This will enable you to view information about the visitors who are coming to your website, such as which country they are coming from, and which pages they visit. We can install Google Analytics on your site for you, and run you through how to use it for a price of £50.00+VAT. You can instead just provide us with a valid Google Analytics measurement ID and we can add this to the site with no additional cost. Google Analytics installation will not affect the annual renewal price of your website.
Yes. We can offer to help set up a Mailchimp account for you, and get a sign up form on your website for £50.00+VAT. This is a third party service which will allow you to manage your mailing list, and send emails to your audience. Mailchimp is not affiliated with Troubador.
Yes. We can set up a domain email address for you at a cost of £50.00+VAT. It will be possible to set up this email address in the application in which you usually access your emails, and we can help you get this set up! This email address will need to be renewed annually at £50.00.
Of course! Our developer will need to configure your domain to work with your new website. This will either require you to give them access to the registrar in which your domain is registered with, or the developer can provide you with the steps to configure the domain yourself. We also recommend transfering your domain to us, so we can manage your domain, so you don't have to worry about renewing it annually! If you decide you no longer wish to have a website with Troubador, we will transfer the domain back to you, free of charge, at the end of your website's lifecycle.
After the website's first full year since launch, the website will need to be renewed annually at £160.00+VAT, or it can be renewed for two years at a cost of £250.00+VAT. This renewal cost includes server, storage and backup running costs, renewal of the domain name, maintenance and bug fixes, SSL certificate renewal, and full support from us.
You will be able to update all of the content of your website's pages. If you would like to change the design or formatting of the website, or add an additional page to the site, this will need to be done by a developer.
Any additional work done to your website after it has launched will be invoiced at an hourly rate of ££40.00
We usually cannot work with existing websites, as they will likely be built with technologies that our developers do not regularly use.
Yes. If you decide you no longer want your website to be run and managed by Troubador, we will transfer your domain to you, and provide you with the static files of your website.
We do not use Wordpress or other website builders like most websites. Instead, our websites are coded from scratch, to create truly bespoke websites. If you have opted to be able to manage the content of your website, then you will be using an in-house CMS (content management system) called Netlio CMS.
No. All of our websites are designed bespoke by our web designer, who you will have the opportunity to brief with exactly what you are looking for. Feel free to share any suggestions and references with us when starting the process!
You can have as many iterations as you need until you are happy with the design of your website! Our web designer will work closely with you to ensure that the design is inline with what you are looking for.
It can be difficult to give a definitive answer as it can vary with different websites, however we usually see websites appearing on the first page of search engines between one to four weeks. All of our websites are registered with Google Search Console to ensure that this process is as quick as possible, and all pages are discovered by search engines.
We cannot guarentee this, however we generally see most of our websites taking the top spot on search engines when searching for either the author's name or their book's title. This will depend on the uniqueness of those search phrases, as more common names and book titles will have to compete with many more websites fighting for those same search phrases.
Your website has been optimised for SEO in a multitude of ways, to give it the best chances at ranking highly on search engines. A sitemap is registered with Google Search Console to ensure the pages are indexed, as well as the inclusion of a robots.txt file to ensure the site is discoverable. All relevant meta tags and accessibility requirements are also fulfilled. Fast page load speeds and image optimisation is also ensured, as this will also impact SEO.
